In the past month of so, Migos, Quavo specifically, has been dropping tidbits of information pertaining to the group's first single off of Culture II. At this point, we're unsure when it'll drop but they've been teasing what may or may not end up on the project. Earlier today, a snippet of a new Drake and Quavo collaboration surfaced. At this point, it's unsure where the clip is from or what project it'll land on but rest assured, it definitely sounds fire.
Ourgenerationco Instagram page posted a snippet of a new song from Quavo and Drake. It's not completely clear but it sounds like it was played at an event of some sort. While it is hard to hear, you're able to pick up a few bars from both artists. During the snippet, Drake says, "they say holy when they see the chain, it's not a cross/ Put an owl on it, you can't let 'em take it off." Quavo comes through right after rapping about his ratatouille chain. Again, it's a little difficult to decipher what they two of them are exactly saying but from the overall sound of the snippet, it definitely sounds lit.
With Culture II on the way, it's hard to say that this snippet didn't surface at the right time. Quavo's confirmed that the first single should be coming soon so who knows, they might start the project's roll out with this project. Migos have stated they have records with some of the biggest names in the industry including Drake as well as Big Sean, Ty Dolla $ign and Travis $cott. Recently, Quavo's shared some video footage sans audio in the studio with Chance the Rapper, Childish Gambino and Lil Yachty. They've been hyping the project up heavy at this point and with the critical and commercial success of Culture, they have some pressure on them to exceed it's predecessor. A few days a go, Quavo tweeted, "C U L T U R E II WAIT TIL U SEE WHO EXECUTIVE PRODUCED IT!!" so they're definitely taking things to another level with this project.
