It looks like Quavo, Chance The Rapper & Lil Yachty were just cooking up some new music in the studio, or so it appears. On Monday, Quavo shared a clip on Instagram of the three rappers all hanging out in the studio.
Unfortunately there’s no sound to the IG clip because it looks like all 3 rappers are jamming out to some new music, presumably whatever they’re cooking up. The caption of the post simply saw 3 “surfing” emojis, so little information is revealed about this upcoming collab, but again if the clip is anything to go off a collab appears to be imminent.
While Chance, Quavo & Yachty have yet to appear on a record together, some of them have collaborated in the past. Most recently Chance & Quavo joined DJ Khaled on the chart-topping single “Im The One,” whereas Chance & Yachty teamed up for the song “Mixtape” off his 2016 Coloring Book project. Lil Yachty & Quavo linked up in the past on songs like “Believe” from A-Trak & “No Hook,” so it shouldn't come as a surprise to see them all working together.
The in-studio clip surfaces just days after Chance made headlines for taking shots at Joe Budden during his concert over the weekend (see here).
Check out Quavo’s IG post (below) and let us know who’s excited to hear this collab? Who do you hope produces it?
In other related news, Quavo just hinted over the weekend that the Migos’ Culture 2 is around the corner, and that fans should get excited for who executive produced it. In fact, Quavo worded his tweet as “WAIT TIL U SEE WHO EXECUTIVE PRODUCED IT!!,” which left fans guessing mostly Kanye West, Travis Scott, or Metro Boomin. Any of the three would be dope, but it’s safe to say Quavo is helping build hype for the sequel to Culture. We’ll continue to keep you posted moving forward. Stay tuned.
