The Baylor Women's Basketball Team made a visit to the White House on Monday afternoon in celebration of their national championship victory over Notre Dame earlier this month. According to the New York Times, it was the first time that President Trump hosted a championship celebration for a women's team.
As is tradition for Trump's championship celebrations, the Lady Bears were treated to a fast food feast in the State Dining Room. The spread reportedly included a plethora of menu items from all the biggest chains including Wendy's, Chick-fil-A, McDonald's and Burger King.
As seen in the video posted by current Los Angeles Sparks center Kalani Brown, not everyone was feeling the burger buffet.
Despite the jokes, ESPN reports that the team presented President Trump with a signed basketball, a national championship hat and a Baylor basketball jersey emblazoned with #1. Trump joked that the basketball jersey would give him an opportunity to show off his "toned arms," though Head Coach Kim Mulkey reportedly suggested the jersey might be better suited for First Lady Melania Trump.
Baylor capped off their 37-1 season with an 82-81 victory against Notre Dame on April 7, marking the third time they've won the national title.
