The Clemson Tigers football team made their way to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue last night in celebration of their National Championship victory over Alabama.
As promised, President Trump had a mountain of Big Macs and Whoppers waiting for the champs' arrival.

According to a statement by Press secretary Sarah Sanders, Trump covered the cost of the fast food because "the Democrats refuse to negotiate on border security" and "much of the residence staff at the White House is furloughed."
Speaking with reporters before the players and coaches feasted in the East Room, Trump said:
"Because of the shutdown, you know we have the great Clemson team with us, the national champions. So we went out and we ordered American fast food, paid for by me," Trump said. "Lots of hamburgers, lots of pizza."
"If it's American, I like it. It's all American stuff," he added. "300 hamburgers, many, many french fries -- all of our favorite foods."
Afterward, Trump took to twitter claiming he actually ordered over 1,000 "hamberders" etc., and that it was all devoured within an hour.
His tweet reads: "Great being with the National Champion Clemson Tigers last night at the White House. Because of the Shutdown I served them massive amounts of Fast Food (I paid), over 1000 hamberders etc. Within one hour, it was all gone. Great guys and big eaters!"
Of course, there were plenty of jokes to be made about the candle-lit Filet-O-Fish of dinner at the White House.
