There's no question that Post Malone has had an amazing few years. Earlier this year, Post Malone joined Eminem as the second rapper to chart numerous singles at number 1 or 2 in their debuts. Today, Posty joins impressive company once again for the success of his album Stoney. While much of today's talk has been surrounded by Post's new beerbongs & bentleys album, Stoney is still getting a lot of shine and deservedly so. The album housed hits like "White Iverson," "Congratulations," and "I Fall Apart," catapulting Post into superstardom. Billboard is now reporting that the album has spent the second-most weeks in the top 10 of their R&B/Hip-Hop album chart, tying Whitney Houston's self-titled album.
The album currently stands at number 7, spending 64 weeks on the list and inching past the Black Eyed Peas' The E.N.D. to tie Whitney Houston. The only album standing in Post's way is Michael Jackson's Thriller, sitting on the throne at a total of 74 weeks on the chart. Of course, with beerbongs & bentleys now out, Post is potentially competing against himself in a fashion similar to Drake, with the very likely possibility that both albums will chart in the top 10 next week.
Do you predict Stoney will spend much more time on the chart or is 64 weeks its peak? Does he have the potential to make it anywhere close to the King of Pop?
