Post Malone reportedly finished his verse last night.

We don't know much about who's going to be featured on Lil Wayne's highly-anticipated album, Tha Carter V, when it drops tonight. So far, his daughter Reginae Carter has confirmed that she will be making an appearance. Other names have been thrown around including XXXTentacion, Nivea, and the artists included on the tracklist shared by Cool & Dre, but there is still an air of mystery surrounding the project. After having been held hostage for years, C5 is finally going to be free tonight and apparently, he's been working on it until the very last minute. According to TMZ, Post Malone was contacted to be a featured artist on the album this week and he's rushing to get his verse recorded and mixed.

Somehow, this fit actually makes a lot of sense. Both Lil Wayne and Post Malone are rockstar figures in a world of rappers. They are both equally influenced by outside genres, using their wide range of stylistic preferences to shape the way their own music sounds. If this report ends up being true, we're seriously excited to hear the finished product. It doesn't sound like Post Malone was given too much time to think about how he wants his feature to sound but he has a tendency of churning out hits at a pretty quick pace so we're not too worried.

According to the publication, Posty finished recording his section on Wednesday night, handing it in to get mixed directly after. Hopefully, it's finished in time for the album's release at midnight! Are you excited for C5 to finally arrive?
