Often times, when something is going really good, there's always something that'll mess it all up. With the release of Seven Days EP, it's safe to say that PartyNextDoor has had a pretty good week. For the most part, his fans have been stoked that he dropped a new project. It may not be Club Atlantis but it was definitely something to hold people over. However, in a report from WIVB news in Buffalo, they say PartyNextDoor and his associate, Jerome Nevins, have been charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.

WIVB said that PartyNextDoor and his associate, Jerome Nevins, were charged with Seventh-Degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance by New York State Troopers in Niagara County. The report says that Nevins was found in possession of Xanax while Party was found in possession of both Xanax and Oxycodone. The two of them were charged at the Lewiston-Queenston Bridge. State Troopers were later called to help U.S Customs and Border after their bus was stopped for a secondary inspection while they were entering the U.S. They were arrested around 9:30 a.m. yesterday morning and were given appearance tickets for the Town of Lewiston Court.

The arrest and charge is a decline in the past few weeks he's been having. Over the summer, he's been building anticipation for his next studio album, Club Atlantis. However, he surprised his fans on Friday when he announced that he'd be dropping a new EP that night. The weeks prior to the drop, he was hinting at a new project that many speculated would be the roll out for Atlantis. On Friday morning, he hit up Zane Lowe and finally explained his strange social media behavior. The song titles and artwork that he was dropping on Twitter was the reveal of the Seven Days track list. That night, he dropped the project.

Despite his charges, we're hoping that it won't set him back too far from dropping Club Atlantis. With Seven Days featuring Rick Ross and Halsey, hopefully Atlantis will have the Kanye West, Ne-Yo and T-Pain features we've all been anticipating. We'll be keeping you updated on his charges and case in the coming weeks.
