Nipsey Hussle's baby mama, Tanisha Foster, has arrived in court to battle it out with the late rapper's family for custody of their 7 year-old daughter, Emani Asghedom. We recently reported that Hussle's sister, Samantha Smith, was filing for legal guardianship of Emani following the death of her brother.
Foster just showed up to court in Los Angeles, with the intention to make it clear to the judge that she wants to see her daughter, as well as the fact that - according to a custody order obtained by The Blast between Nipsey and Foster from 2013 - she was awarded both physical and legal joint-custody with Nip. Along with custody, reports say Tanisha will be filing for child support and wants the financial aid to come from Nipsey’s estate.
The whole ordeal started getting sour between Hussle's baby mama and his sister when the latter made sure Foster was not notified of her actions towards legal guardianship of Emani. Things got even more heated when the judge denied Smith's request for temporary custody, and Nipsey's brother Samiel Asghedom, also known as Blacc Sam, submitted documents to the court in support of his sister gaining guardianship of Emani. The L.A. Department of Children and Family Services also got involved, so as to ensure that the child will be placed in the best home possible, considering Emani is still a minor.
Foster was reported to have broken down in tears upon arriving at the court, at the sight of her daughter, whom she said she hadn't seen in months. The courtroom was cleared for 20 minutes while Tanisha and Emani spent some time together, and the hearing was pushed until Friday when a final decision is to be made on custody and finances.
Foster (who goes by the name Chyna Hussle now) took to Instagram before appearing in court to post a selfie with the caption "Love my kids I'll always rise to the occasion for them ❤️".
