With five verses from five great rappers, there's a lot to unpack on Migos' new single "Motor Sport." With that being said, Takeoff's line that references Nicki Minaj, who guests on the track alongside Cardi B, is pretty straight forward.
"If Nicki should show me her titty / Right hand on the Bible, I swear I won't tell," raps the group's most underrated member. Strangely enough, Nicki didn't actually catch her name on first listen. On Saturday, she shared some thoughts on the line, which she seemed to be surprised but ultimately entertained by.
"Take Off verse on Motorsport. š¤š© itās my shit tho but ummm š¤£ I feel like I didnāt peep them lines until the song came out," she said. "I was like š²."
When a fan then joked, "glad [Nicki] didn't stop Takeoff's bag," Minaj responded, "š¤£ I wouldāve if I had realized he was talking about me in that part. š¤«š I didnāt peep that lil 5 letter word 'nicki'".
"Motor Sport" is the first single from Migos' upcoming album Culture 2, which is expected to be released in January 2018. According to Lil Yachty, who is signed to Quality Control alongside Migos, the album is "better than" Culture, which was released earlier this year.
According to Cardi B, "Motor Sport" will get an official video on December 1st. The single is currently at No. 15 on the Hot 100.
Following the release of the single, Nicki addressed conspiracy theories that she wasn't aware Cardi B was also on the song until after its release."I was on the song w/Quavo. No one else was on it," she said. "He called & asked if I think we should put Bardi on it, I said āok letās do itā. The end," she said, "Migos werenāt even on it yet. Just Quavo. The conspiracy theories r just so tired. Relax. Breathe. Imagine me not knowing who on a song w/me."
