Machine Gun Kelly's "Binge" EP reportedly sold under 22K units in its first week.

Looking to capitalize off the extra attention on him this month following his back & forth exchange with Eminem, Machine Gun Kelly decided to release a new EP last week called Binge, featuring a lone appearance from 24hrs. While the project was only 8 songs long and not necessarily an album, its first week numbers came in today and they’re shockingly low considering the amount of attention on him the week prior.

According to Hits Double Daily, MGK’s Binge EP only sold 21,519 units in first week, 9,000 of those being pure sales. In comparison, his latest album, bloom, sold 57K units first week, however that had much stronger push behind it from the label.

In addition to MGK, Young Thug also released a new project last week dubbed On The Rvn, which dropped Sunday night, but even with the shortened week it moved 28K in its first week. Believe it or not, Brockhampton stole the show last week and earned themselves a #1 album with iridescence selling an impressive 105K units.

And for the hell of it, Drake’s Scorpion is stilling moving 66k units a week based off the streaming numbers, which is pretty crazy since the album came out in June.

Next week, Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter V & Kanye’s Yandhi album will duke it out for the #1 spot, but Weezy gets a 1 day head start. We’ll keep you posted.

Are you surprised by MGK’s 21K units in its first week?
