Lil Pump's been on a wave for the past year. He went from Soundcloud rapper to a certified platinum selling artist, at only 18 years old. While his rapping abilities are questionable, there's no doubt that he's able to make hit records. However, it looks like he's working on expanding his skill set and stepping into the production game.
Lil Pump hit Twitter today to preview an upcoming song titled "ESSKEETIT" that he produced. It's unsure how long Lil Pump has been tackling production but if this is one of the first beats he's made, it's definitely not bad. The rapper only shared a clip under 40 seconds. As to be expected, the hook features him closing out each line with his signature ad-lib. The production is simple but it's effective and in all honesty, it could be his next big hit. It's unsure where this song will end up or if it'll be released as a loose single but hopefully, a full HQ version of the song surfaces soon.
Aside from his venture into production, Pump has a few projects under his belt right now. He recently announced his Harvard Dropout mixtape and has a joint project with Lil Yachty in the works. Neither project have a release date or a timeline for its release but it'll likely be coming through in the next few months.
Along with this, he's still looking for a new label to call home. Gucci Mane has previously shown interest in signing the young rapper while DJ Khaled recently had a meeting with Pump. It's unsure if he'll end up signing to either but we'll keep you posted on any updates.
