In a surprising turn of events, apparently Kim Kardashian's word proves valuable to the President of the United States. As of late, the reality star has used her platform for activist purposes and, while her tweets sometimes get lost in the advertisement spam for her numerous beauty and fragrance ventures, Kim has been speaking up on Alice Johnson's troubling situation. Earlier this month, we reported that Kardashian was working with Trump's family to free the 62-year-old woman, who is currently locked up for life on drug charges. While she was banking on Ivanka Trump's involvement, the big boss has reportedly gotten involved to meet with his biggest fan's wife later today.
Vanity Fair has reported that Kim Kardashian will be headed to the White House today to discuss prison reform with President Donald Trump and Jared Kushner and, while Kanye West's public display of love for the President may have had nothing to do with the meeting, it could have potentially swayed Trump into accepting it. With her support of Alice Johnson dating back to November of last year, Kim is expected to ask the President to pardon her of her life sentence. Johnson is a great-grandmother, who has been in prison for 21 years now.
According to the magazine, Kardashian is taking the discussion incredibly seriously. The star is not bringing along her camera crew or any of her sisters as she plans to use legal arguments to free Alice Johnson.
