It was a rough weekend for Kevin Hart and his family, after a cryptic social media apology was directed at his wife, Eniko Parrish, and their kids after he was supposedly targeted in a infidelity extortion scandal.
Yesterday, we reported that Hart had been the target of another woman who allegedly had footage of the comedian and actor engaging in what was called "sexually suggestive" activities with her. To be clear, this is not an out-and-out sex tape, but rather footage that shows a "prelude to sex," implying that both Hart and his female companion got physically intimate after the recording stopped. Hart's reps didn't offer up any more details on the matter, saying only that "as law enforcement is involved, we cannot comment further as it could affect the investigation."
"I’m at a place in my life where I feel like I have a target on my back and because of that, I should make smart decisions, and recently I didn’t,” Hart siad in his apology video. “I’m not perfect, I’m not gonna sit up here and say that I am or claim to be in any way, shape or form. I made a bad error in judgement putting myself in an environment where only bad things can happen, and they did. In doing that, I know I’m gonna hurt the people closest to me who I’ve talked to and apologized to, being my wife and my kids." Whatever the funny man said to his fam behinid closed doors seems to have worked, after his wife Eniko was seen in public by TMZ walking their pet doberman. The key to this development is that Hart's very pregnant wife was sporting her wedding ring, making a show of her support for her embattled husband.
As per the last report on the situation, the extortionist's original demand was for upwards of 8 figures in terms of a payout, but now it seems that number has lowered to 7 figures. It will be interesting to see how this all unfolds, but as of right now, it seems as though Kevin Hart's boo is standing by him as he weathers this new PR storm.
