Jaden Smith has become much more than just Will Smith's son. He's managed to make a name for himself in the music world, and has worked on helping solve environmental issues, including sending water to Flint, Michigan.
Those of you who are fans of Jaden's music will have something to look forward to in the coming months, as last night Jaden took to Twitter to announce his latest project: Syre: The Electric Album.
This album, which will be the follow up to his 2017 debut, SYRE, has left some of his fans confused. His next album was set to be titled, ERYS, and was supposed to drop sometime this year. Not to mention that using the same title twice could mean any number of things, like perhaps this new project is a remixed version of his last album.
Actual details about the project are very scarce, but thankfully there won't be too long of a wait before we get to hear it. In addition to announcing the new album, he also mentioned its release date: July 8th, 2018.
We've already gotten some new music from Jaden in the past few weeks, first his remix of his single "Icon," featuring Nicky Jam, and then an unreleased track that he performed live at Rolling Loud, which could possibly find its way onto this new album.
Meanwhile, the original rapping Smith, Will Smith, is back in the booth and ready to compete with his son to see who the best rapper in the family truly is.
