French Montana, like many in the rap game, is not down with snitching. On Thursday (May 14th), the rapper caught up with Bootleg Kev on 92.3 LA, where the two of them offered their takes on the 6ix9ine situation. Ever since the controversial rapper officially returned to the music scene—and to his old chaotic ways—last week following his release from prison, 6ix9ine has been (rightfully) pissing a lot of people off, and French appears to be one of them. Speaking on the circus of 6ix9ine's recent antics, French notes, "you know this is not gonna last."
"Especially when people you're donating money to not [are] accepting it," he continued. Recently, 6ix9ine's $200,000 donation to the charitable No Kid Hungry Foundation was rejected on the grounds that his "activities do not align with [their] mission and values." French goes on to question how 6xi9ine has managed to actually convince himself that "snitching is cool now."
"My career right now—20 years in the making—if I do something like that, my career is over," French remarks. "I wouldn't even have the guts to go on and do a live like that, 'cause I can't go to sleep at night. At the end of the day, you gotta do what makes you go to sleep at night."
