Announcing that he was using his money for something positive, Tekashi 6ix9ine told the world that he was giving $200K to the No Kid Hungry Foundation. According to its website, the organization seeks to end child hunger in America. The issue has become increasingly urgent with the recent pandemic affecting many people's ability to earn money, and 6ix9ine just wanted to help out. However, his representatives have reportedly been informed that they do not want his money.
As reported by Complex, the No Kid Hungry Foundation has flat-out refused Tekashi 69's donation.
"We are grateful for Mr. Hernandez’s generous offer to donate to No Kid Hungry but we have informed his representatives that we have declined this donation," said Laura Washburn, the director of strategic communications. "As a child-focused campaign, it is our policy to decline funding from donors whose activities do not align with our mission and values."
No Kid Hungry seemingly operates by the "not all money is good money" saying.
What do you think 6ix9ine will do with the money? Will he try to find an organization that will take his money or is he just going to pay off Rich The Kid's alleged jewelry bill, which he joked he would do.
6ix9ine reportedly made $2 million from merch sales this past week after the release of his single "Gooba." He decided on a cause near to his heart but even still, they don't want anything to do with him.
