DJ ENVY has been a staple in hip hop culture for a while now. He's been a prominent DJ since the mid-90's and has since built his way up to becoming a recognizable personality on MTV2, Hip Hop Nation and most notably, The Breakfast Club alongside Charlamagne tha God and Angela Yee. While those endeavors have been keeping him busy, he's gearing up to release his upcoming studio album. With the help of Fetty Wap and DJ Sliink, he dropped the club-banger "Text Ur Number" single in August. Now, he comes through with an exciting video to accompany the song.

The video opens up with DJ Envy leaving town while being under investigation by the police before he gives a stern warning to his kid to watch over the house. However, like most kids, his son disobeys his father's request. He later rings up Fetty Wap for a pool party at his place. ENVY later comes home to the massive pool party where his love interest uses it as an opportunity to set him up. The video was directed by Shomi Patwary who has a pretty extensive resume in music videos. He was behind many of A$AP Mob's work including several videos for both Ferg and Rocky. He was also the visionary behind Desiigner's "Liife" video featuring Gucci Mane

"Text Ur Number" serves as the first single off of his upcoming album Just A Kid From Queens... It's a strong single to lead off the role out of the project which is due out at the top of 2018. The album is confirmed to have appearances from 2 Chainz, Big Sean, Nicki Minaj & Chance the Rapper among others which will likely be revealed as we inch closer to it's release. As this record continues to spread, we're excited for what DJ ENVY will have on the rest of the project.
