Desiigner links Gucci Mane for the psychedelic video for "Liife."

Since signing to Kanye West's G.O.O.D Music, Desiigner has been a highly talked about rapper in the game, for better or for worse. After Kanye sampled "Panda," things really started moving forward for the New York singer/rapper/ball of energy. Footage of his dances to his live performances have gone viral and he continues to push forward with a smile on his face. Within a week, he dropped three separate tracks that are equally dope as well as dropping the album art to his upcoming album Life of Desiigner. With all the work he's been putting in, it looks like we'll be getting a full-length from Desiigner soon. In continuation of the roll out, Desiigner drops the video for "Liife" featuring Gucci Mane.

"Liife" takes his celebratory track and damn-near turns it into a mushroom trip. The video opens up with Desiigner dirt-biking through a forest before linking up with Gucci Mane in a remote mansion in the woods. The video is pretty wavy, once Desiigner hits the dirt path, the grass and other parts of the setting start morphing and changing different colors. The video has some strong resemblances to Travis $cott's "Butterfly Effect" in terms of the post-edits and dream like aesthetic both artist achieved in their respective videos. The video for "Liife" was directed Shomi Patwary, who has shot many notable music videos including A$AP Mob's "Bath Salts," Belly's "Might Not" featuring the Weeknd as well as many others on top of that. Considering his directing style, this song fits in perfectly with his resume.

It's a solid effort for him especially as he's revving up to drop his upcoming album. As he continues to drop more music, his latest video with Gucci Mane is definitely bound to get the ball rolling as he prepares to release Life of Desiigner.
