Derek Chauvin was caught on camera killing George Floyd in Minneapolis, Minnesota this past week. The officer was eventually arrested and is now being charged with third-degree murder and manslaughter. As of right now, Chauvin is being detailed at the Ramsey County Jail in St. Paul and according to TMZ, he is being heavily checked on.
In the report, it states that Chauvin has a camera watching his every move throughout the day. In fact, the police are monitoring the cameras at all hours of the day and every 15 minutes, they are checking up on him to make sure he isn't causing any mischief. While authorities won't use the term "suicide watch," it is quite clear that these tactics are being used to make sure he doesn't harm himself.

Since Chauvin's actions, protests have erupted all across the nation and it is clear that people are upset and want to see a tangible end to police brutality. These types of killings have gone on for way too long and Chauvin's arrest could very well lead to some real change, if he is convicted, of course.
