Dave East says the release date is coming soon.

Dave East had one hell of a run in 2018. Not only did he release two solo projects but he also joined forces with Styles P for their joint project, Beloved. The rapper's been working on his album, Survival over the past little while, hence why he's been relatively lowkey in terms of releasing music. Thankfully, it looks like the project will be out sometime soon as the rapper recently revealed that he played the album for his label.

East shared a video of Instagram of himself playing his new album at the Def Jam headquarters with Paul Rosenberg present during the listening session. The rapper said that the release date for his new project will be announced soon so it's a promising sign that the Harlem rapper will be blessing us with his new album by the time summer comes.

The rapper initially announced the project in late 2018 after releasing Beloved. Since then, he's been sharing photos of himself locked in the studio.

Aside from new music, East has been filming for his role for Hulu's show "Wu-Tang: An American Saga." The rapper's set to play Shotgun who is based on Method Man. The character is described as having a  "knack for rhymes" and "takes pride in being the assistant manager at the concession stand next to the Statue of Liberty." Keep your eyes peeled for that.
