Yesterday, radio personality Ebro Darden spoke candidly about Travis Scott and Big Boi signing on to perform at the Super Bowl Halftime Show. He ended up calling Travis "super lame" for the gig. It's being reported that Scott only accepted the Halftime Show under the condition that the NFL donates $500K to a charity that brings light to social justice. It was also said that the recording artist reached out to Colin Kaepernick before accepting the performance and despite them reportedly not seeing eye to eye on everything, they seemed to have reached an agreement. However, according to Ebro, Travis never actually reached out and Colin is co-signing that.
Ebro has been extremely vocal about his critiques of Travis Scott in recent days because of the Super Bowl gig and now, he seems to be taking on the role of Kaep's PR. The executive responded to a tweet that La Flame had spoken to the football star to get his blessing, calling BS on that. "Kap did not approve this bullshit! Get the fuck outta here...." wrote Darden. The message was actually retweeted by Colin Kaepernick, meaning that the conversation was most likely never had.
With this getting messier by the day, do you think it would have been a better choice for Travis to opt out of the show altogether? Kaep also retweeted the following tweet.
