NFL taps Knight for Super Bowl LIII national anthem.

"The Empress of Soul" Gladys Knight will reportedly sing the national anthem prior to Super Bowl LIII at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Sunday, February 3.

"I am proud to use my voice to unite and represent our country in my hometown of Atlanta," Knight said in a statement. "The NFL recently announced their new social justice platform Inspire Change, and I am honored to be a part of its inaugural year."

Knight, an Atlanta native, is a seven-time Grammy winning artist and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee.

Of course, one of the most popular prop bets leading up to the Super Bowl is the over/under on how long the anthem will last.

Now that Knight has been confirmed for the Super Bowl LIII anthem, the betting line should surface any minute now.

The NFL has also tapped Travis Scott and Big Boi to perform during the Super Bowl halftime show. La Flame reportedly agreed to perform on the condition that the NFL donates $500,000 to "social justice accelerator" Dream Corps, an organization founded by Van Jones in 2014.

A recent report suggested that Travis had talked with Colin Kaepernick about performing at halftime and that "they emerged from the conversation with mutual respect and understanding," but that does not appear to be the case at all.
