The behemoth of Coachella continues, and as Belly took to the stage in Indio Friday afternoon, he made sure to live up to the expectations of festivalgoers as he ripped into a set that included live renditions of his “Mumble Rap” and “Man Listen” singles.
He had a few tricks up his sleeve though when he invited out Nav to deliver on his verse off Travis Scott’s “Beibs In The Trap” before calling Rich The Kid to give fans a performance of his blazing “Plug Walk” track.
This time around, Rich The Kid steered clear of any expletives directed towards any enemies, namely Lil Uzi. The two rappers and former comrades breathed new life into their previously dormant beef after throwing shots the good old-fashioned way—in song. Rich dropped off an entire track aimed at Uzi with his “Dead Friends” cut, a move that was soon followed up by a burning verse on G Herbo’s official “Who Run It” remix. Then, this week, a new video surfaced of Rich yelling out, "F-ck that n---a Lil Uzi, man” before performing “Plug Walk” at a recent concert.
The surprise appearances during Belly’s showing arrived in the midst of other guest spots from the likes of Kendrick Lamar, who appeared onstage during Vince Staples’s set. He also joined SZA along with Trippie Redd and Isaiah Rashad during the TDE songstress’s performance.
Day one was capped off with a performance from The Weeknd, who treated fans to a healthy set of at least 20 songs, including fresh cuts off his surprise My Dear Melancholy effort.
