"Next up to bat is my n***a Bas
After that Jiddy-J.I.D
That's that New York City"
- J. Cole, "Album Of The Year" freestyle
Luckily for Dreamville fans, label boss J. Cole has pulled up his socks and readied some semblance of a game plan. Proving a man of his word, Cole has paved the way for Bas' new project, Milky Way, to secure a late August release. The Dreamville rapper took to Twitter to announce the project's drop date, and it stands to reason that it'll be one of the year's sleeper hits. Bas has steadily been dropping fire, and will no doubt continue to do exactly that on his moment in the sun.
While we have yet to receive a tracklist for the upcoming Bas album, rest assured that we'll be blessed with at least one J. Cole feature. The pair previously showcased an unreleased banger, which sounds like it's about to be some fire. We've already heard both parties excel at spitting double-time flows, and it looks like this untitled jam will put find both Bas and Cole putting on a show. In the meantime, stay patient for that new Bas joint, Milky Way, set to land on August 24th. Ya'll hyped for this?
