You don’t hear this often, but what a day to the be a Cleveland Browns fan. Not only did they acquire Pro-Bowl WR Jarvis Landry from Miami Dolphins on Friday, but it’s now being reported that they also found their next QB in Tyrod Taylor as well.
Multiple sources have reported that the Browns have acquired Bills QB Tyrod Taylor in exchange for a third round pick (No. 65). On top of that, Browns QB DeShone Kizer was sent to the Green Bay Packers in exchange for CB Damarious Randall, as well as pick swaps for fourth and fifth rounds.
The move acts as a bridge at the QB position for the Browns as they’ll still look for a franchise QB in this year’s draft, but Taylor will act as a serviceable arm for the 2018 season.
In addition to their recent transactions on Friday, Browns also have two top 5 picks in this upcoming draft as well, No. 1 & 4 respectively. So add Landry, Taylor & a full season with Josh Gordon, along with two top 5 drafts picks (maybe Saquan Barkley?) and the Browns are no longer the laughing stock of the NFL. In fact, the Brown might be looking like a team to reckon with in a couple years.
We’ll continue to keep you posted on all the latest with the NFL moving forward. In the meantime, what are your thoughts on the Browns moves? Do they get 5 wins next year?
