Cleveland Browns #1 overall pick, quarterback Baker Mayfield, has announced a new partnership with PSD Underwear - but simply tweeting out the details of the deal wouldn't have been flashy enough. Instead, Mayfield channeled his inner "Wolfpack" and posed next to a white Rolls-Royce along with a tiger to reveal the new underwear sponsorship.
Mayfield joins the PSD Underwear roster that already includes fellow NFL star Marshawn Lynch, as well as the NBA's Kyrie Irving, Jimmy Butler and Chandler Parsons. The Baker Mayfield x PSD Underwear collection will include special colorways inspired by the Oklahoma Sooners and the Cleveland Browns, as well as other styles.
While Mayfield is making strides both on and off the field, it still looks like Browns fans will have to wait a little longer than Week 1 to see the rookie QB take the field in a regular season game. Browns head coach Hue Jackson has insisted that Tyrod Taylor will be the starting QB when the season opens up.
“Tyrod Taylor is the starter,” Browns coach Hue Jackson said in a pre-training camp press conference, according to WKYC. “I don’t envision any situation where all of a sudden (Mayfield’s) getting a bunch of first-team reps unless, God forbid, something happens, but at the same time, there might be a day -- please nobody hold me to it -- where Tyrod all of a sudden maybe doesn’t go and Baker’s out there and people go ‘oh my gosh.’ It wouldn’t be that."
The Browns will kickoff the 2018-19 season at home against the Pittsburgh Steelers on September 9.
