LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers have had the Toronto Raptors' number forever. And if last night's Game 1 at the Air Canada Centre was any indication, DeMar DeRozan, Kyle Lowry and the entire city of Toronto are in for another long Summer.
LeBron, who described his performance as "probably one of my worst games of the season," recorded his 21st post-season triple-double in the 113-112 overtime win, finishing with 26 points, 13 assists, 11 rebounds and two blocks in 47 minutes. He shot just 3-for-15 in the fourth quarter and overtime combined, but it didn't matter because the Raptors just couldn't put the nail in the Cavs' coffin.
Toronto shot 5-for-25 from the field during the fourth quarter, including an unbelievable 3-for-17 on shots in the restricted area. According to ESPN’s Stats & Info, those 14 bricks were the most by any team in any quarter over the last 20 postseasons. Furthermore, the Raptors had eight second-chance opportunities during the final five minutes of regulation, including four missed shots from close range in the final seconds.
Naturally, the Raptors' fourth quarter meltdown against Cleveland brought out the best from #NBATwitter. Scroll down to check out some of the reactions to a thrilling Game 1.
