Avengers: Infinity War is currently the most talked about film after Black Panther. Of course, with the crazy success Black Panther has brought in - having just entered the top 10 highest grossing films of all time - everyone's waiting to see if the upcoming Avengers can live up to the hype.
Deadline is reporting that industry professionals estimate that the opening weekend for the film will bring in $200 million. If this does happen, it will very well break the record of the highest April debut that is currently held by Furious 7 with $147 million. The new Avengers still has a ways to go as it has to beat out Black Panther's President Day weekend revenue of $242 million or the first Avengers' regular weekend opening that pulled in $207 million. The top Marvel spot is not an easy pedestal to grab.
If you think about it, this movie has a lot to live up to as it's been 10 years in the making having started with Iron Man back in 2008 and has had 18 flicks leading up to all the characters having to come together to save the world. The movie stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Don Cheadle, Tom Holland, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Josh Brolin, and Chris Pratt.
