Luna Simone is about to be an older sister. John Legend and Chrissy Teigen, who recently celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary on September 14th, are expecting their second child.
The news comes from an Instagram video Chrissy shared where little baby Luna is asked what's in her mom's tummy.
“Luna, what’s in here?” Teigen says in the video with baby Luna pointing at her mom’s stomach, “Baby!”
The singer and his wife have been open about their difficulties with conceiving in the past, where John told Cosmopolitan in August that "having a baby is a big challenge for a couple."
"Going through that together strengthens your bond because if you make it through [having a child], you know you can make it through anything," he added.
"I think it’s especially difficult when you can’t conceive naturally. You want to feel like everything’s working properly and want everything to be perfect, but sometimes it’s not. I wouldn’t say we can’t conceive naturally, but I would say that it’s enough of a challenge where it felt like we needed help. We’re lucky that we’re living in an age where we can conceive in other ways. [IVF] brought us Luna and hopefully it will bring us a few more awesome kids, too."
One of the last musical numbers we've received from the "All Of You" singer was the video treatment to his collaborative track with Chance The Rapper, "Penthouse Floor."
There's no official word on the sex of the baby, when it's due or how far along Chrissy is but from a recent Snapchat we can tell she's been hiding the baby bump for a little while, her mirror selfie below reads, "Very excited to not have to hide this any more. Everyone I told first was like "Uh yeah, we knew thanks.'"
