Miguel dropped off the visuals for one his top tracks "Come Through and Chill" last week with a feature from J. Cole. The single comes off his latest album, War and Leisure and Miguel showed even more love to the song with a recent visit to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. J. Cole wasn't along for the performance, but The Roots backed up his instrumental and Miguel did a very relaxed, chilled out presentation for his television audience. Check it out below.
Miguel previously spoke with NME about being compared to Prince. "No one’s ever gonna be Prince. He’s the standard of excellence. Everywhere. He is the ultimate artist. The absolute student of music and everything else. Excellence across the board,” he said of the comparison. “In the beginning, I was like, ‘I don’t know…’, but I started to take it as a compliment and understand that no one’s actually expecting me to be Prince. I don’t feel like I’m trying to prove that I’m going to do anything close to Prince. Because I’m going to do my thing instead.”
Next up Miguel is set to hit the stage at Afropunk Fest in Brooklyn on August 25th & 26th at the Commodore Barry Park. Check out the rest of the line up here.
