It looks like Swizz Beatz is getting back to the music. After taking a recent break to concentrate on his education, which saw him graduating from Harvard’s Business school over the weekend, Swizz hopped on Instagram to inform fans he’s getting back to work in the studio. “Now back to the music zone!!!!!!,” he shared the other day on IG, and it turns out he’s not lying.
On Monday night, a couple clips surfaced online of Swizz and internet sensation Tekashi 69, who’s “Gummo” record has over 27 Million views & counting on Youtube, in the studio together. DJ Akademiks shared a clip of the two artists in the studio, while an unreleased Tekashi song blasted in the background and they rocked out to it.
It’s unknown if the two actually worked on any new music together or if Swizz was just listening & digesting to the experimental sound that is Tekashi69, but either way Swizz appears to be a fan of the fast-rising internet sensation.
From what we can hear in the clip, the upcoming Tekashi song appears be a loud & boisterous street record that finds him reppin' his clique & rapping about his wild lifestyle in the process.
“Got my gang right beside me, ready to catch a homi/ If you run up bitch Im sorry, don't be moving rocky/ Bitch all on my body, bitch get off my body/ Get the fuck up off my flip, unless you trine suck my dick/ Unless you trine fuck my clique, ‘less you trine stack some…” he spits in the clip.
Unfortunately, there’s no other information about the song, like what it’s called or when we can expect to hear it in full, but it’s definitely helping build buzz & hype for the rising Brooklyn-bred native.
Check out the two clips of Swizz & Tekashi hanging out Monday night (below) and let us know your thoughts on it in the comments. What other new rapper would you like to see Swizz get in the studio with?
