It appears Swizz Beatz is working hard on his upcoming album. After taking a break to concentrate on his education, which saw him graduating from Harvard’s Business school last weekend, Swizz hopped on Instagram to inform fans that he’s getting back to work in the studio. “Now back to the music zone!!!!!!,” he shared last week on IG, and it turns out he’s not lying.
Since he informed us about getting back in the studio, Swizz has been spotted working with Brooklyn newcomer Tekashi69 and super star J. Cole recently, and now he was back in the lab with Chicago’s Chance The Rapper on Monday.
“I told y'all I'm in Mode!!!!! Happy Monday ⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️#albummode,” Swizz captioned his IG photo of him & Chance sitting side by side. Unfortunately, Swizz didn’t give us any snippet or preview of what the two might’ve cooked up, but you already know it’s going to be dope. There’s no time table as for when we might expect to hear Swizz’s forthcoming album Im With The Smoke, but just know it’s coming, and is shaping up to be a monster.
In addition to Chance, Cole & Tekashi, Swizz also previewed an unreleased Lil Wayne collaboration a couple months ago, which got fans hella excited to hear, but we’re still without the final product. It’s safe to assume that collab will see life on Im With The Smoke, but guess time will only tell.
This photo of Swizz & Chano surfaces just a week or so after finding out that Chance The Rapper and Jeremih are reportedly teaming up for another Christmas album this year. While that hasn't been confirmed, producer Bongo By The Way says it’s almost done being recorded so look out for that as well.
Check out the photo of Swizz & Chano hanging out together (below) and let us know your thoughts. What other rapper would you like to see Swizz work with on his album?
