It seems as though the Donald Glover buzz is still going strong. Having announced his tour dates with Rae Sremmurd, his PHAROS experience in New Zealand, his Solo: A Star Wars Story and the numerous magazine interviews he's had, Donald has even more good news coming off his season two of FX's Atlanta.
According to new reports, the first episode of Atlanta Robbin’ Season saw the best ratings of any recent comedy series in the past year. A whopping 2.7 million people watched the episode either as it premiered, during its encore or on a streaming service. To be exact 1.3 million adults between the ages of 18 to 49 watched the episode which is the highest report since season 12 of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia in January 2017.
These numbers prove that season two performed even better than season one as ratings are up seven percent in the same age demographic. In other age demographics, Robbin' Season topped all of its competitors with adults aged 18-34 bringing in 671,000 views and adults aged 25-54 bringing in 1.2 million.
To date, the first season has seen 5.2 million views across all platforms and it looks like season two will easily surpass that. If these numbers mean anything, it shows that season three will definitely be on the horizon.
