Jay-Z and Beyoncé are celebrating a decade of their marriage, which is more like a century by Hollywood's standards. Relationships come and go in the glitzy and glamorous lives of celebrities and while they've had their fair share of drama, Jay and Bey and stuck it out for 10 years. Their first child, Blue Ivy, has had some adorable moments this year, appearing at award shows and basketball games with mom and dad as she grows up before the public's eyes. The saying goes that 'kids say the darndest things' sometimes, but this time, Jay-Z was on the receiving end of a scolding by his daughter.
On David Letterman's upcoming Netflix special My Next Guest Needs No Introduction, the television personality sits down with Jay-Z to discuss a slew of topics including his opinions of Eminem and Snoop Dogg. When the conversation turned to his daughter, he shared what he deems as the "most beautiful thing" she's ever said to him. After rushing Blue Ivy into the car on the way to school one day, Jay recalls how she was persistently questioning him. "I told her 'get in the car' the other day cause she was asking a thousand questions and we had to leave for school," said Hov. As he was driving, he remembers Blue's little voice telling him, "Dad? I didn't like when you told me to get in the car the way that you told me. It hurt my feelings."
A conversation that may seem incidental, Jay details it as the most beautiful thing she has ever told him as it reminds him of how healthy his family is on a daily basis. Watch him tell David Letterman the story below and keep an eye out for the full episode on April 6.
