Halle Berry and Grammy-nominated producer Alex da Kid pose-up in the first photo of the two at the Songs of Hope XIII awards gala, held at Alex's KIDinaKORNER campus in Sherman Oaks, California.
We reported not too long ago that the couple made it official that they were dating when they both shared the same photo to Instagram of Halle in the arms of Alex, with matching captions that read "my balance."
"They seem smitten but it’s pretty early," a source told People. "They met over the summer. It’s rather new. He has tremendous success in his own right. He produces and he’s got real street cred."
The two have a 16 year age gap between them, Alex being 35 and Halle being 51.
The gala the two were attending bring together music industry executives such as song writers, composers and producers who are committed to fighting cancer, HIV/AIDS and other life-threatening diseases. The evening sees silent auctions and live performances with artists honoured in the past being Lionel Richie, Will.i.am, Swizz Beatz, Pharrell Williams, Stevie Wonder, the late Natalie Cole and Charli XCX.
Halle's been keeping busy this year with a few films with her name on it. She's starred in "Kidnap" (where she also serves as executive producer), "Kings" and "Kingsman: The Golden Circle."
Alex on the other hand has been doing the most with his KIDinaKORNER label. His label currently consists of Imagine Dragons, Skylar Grey, Jamie N Commons and X Ambassadors, and of course himself.
He recently took to Twitter saying how good it feels to be independent.
Besides those signed to his label, Alex has also worked with big name artists such as Dr. Dre, Rihanna and Eminem.
The couple have said to be dating since the summertime.
Halle has nine-year-old daughter Nahla with her ex Gabriel Aubrey, and three-year-old son Maceo with former husband Olivia Martinez.
