The NBA has just revealed the second return of fan votes for the 2018 All-Star Game and LeBron James now sits atop the league as the leading vote-getter. 'Bron was second to Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo after the first round of voting was revealed earlier this month.
The Cavs' All-Star forward leads the NBA with 1,622,838 votes, followed by Giannis who has 1,480,954 and Kyrie Irving with 1,370,643.
Stephen Curry leads the Western Conference, which means if the voting ended today he and LeBron would be captains for the draft that will ultimately decide the All-Star teams. Remember, this year it's not East vs. West. Instead, the top vote-getters from each conference will be named captains and will get to choose from the pool of All-Star players.
Fans may vote may vote for 10 unique players per day from now until January 15th.

According the press release via NBA.com, two captains, one from each conference, will be determined based upon who receives the most fan votes in his conference. Those captains will then draft the 2018 All-Star teams from the pool of players who were voted as starters and reserves, making selections without regard for conference affiliation.
As for the All-Star selection process, things will remain the same.
12 players from each conference will be chosen for the All-Star spots. The 10 starters – two guards and three frontcourt players per conference – will continue to be chosen by a combination of fans (50% of the vote), current players (25%) and basketball media (25%).
The NBA’s head coaches will still select the 14 reserves, voting for two guards, three frontcourt players and two players at any position in their respective conferences. Specific details about the draft will be announced at a later date.
