The NBA has just announced the results of the second round of All-Star voting, and it still looks like LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo will serve as captains for the two teams. LeBron still leads all vote-getters with nearly 2.8 million votes, while the Greek Freak leads the Eastern Conference with 2.67 million, slightly ahead of Kyrie Irving.
Derrick Rose is still among the leading backcourt vote-getters in the Western Conference, trailing only Stephen Curry.
Dallas Mavericks rookie sensation Luka Doncic has also maintained his position with the second-most All-Star votes of all Western Conference frontcourt players. In fact, Doncic has now received more votes out West than Curry, and has the fourth most votes overall.

The fan vote, which opened on Christmas Day, accounts for 50% of the vote to determine the 10 All-Star starters. Current NBA players and a panel of basketball media each account for 25% of the remaining vote. Every voter will complete one full ballot featuring two guards and three frontcourt players from each conference.
Just like last year, the leading vote-getter from each conference will serve as a captain and will draft their rosters from the pool of players voted as starters and reserves in each conference. Unlike last year, the All-Star draft WILL be televised this season although the draft date has not yet been announced.
Voting for fans, players and media will conclude on January 21. The All Star starters, and captains, will be announced January 24 on TNT. Reserves will be announced on January 31.
