Desiigner's rise to fame seemed to be near instantaneous. His hit song, "Panda," quickly reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and his profile rose even further when it was announced that he had signed to Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music label, alongside a remixed version of "Panda" on The Life of Pablo standout track, "Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 2"
Since then Desiigner has remained quiet, planning his next move. We knew that he was up to something for a while, as he originally announced the "Life of Desiigner" project was due to drop last July. One year and one Instagram "announcement" later, the project is finally here, re-branded instead as L.O.D., and taking the form of a 7 track EP.
The project officially drops tomorrow, but is currently available in certain international markets. What we've heard so far, however, seems like a straight shot of the Desiigner we know and love, with a mix of trap bangers and even a melodic love song in "Destiination." Don't worry, there will still be as many GRRRRRRRAAAAAAAA's as you could ever want. Desiigner is even getting his J. Cole on a little bit, eschewing all features to carry the project solo.
Stream L.O.D. on Apple Music when it hits the streets tomorrow.
