New updates have come through on the anticipated season three of Netflix's Stranger Things. Before today we learned that the show's creators - The Duffer Brothers - we're NOT leaving the Netflix Original as rumours predicted, season three will have eight episodes and Will finally will get a break from the harsh happenings of the Upside Down.
"We’re not going to put Will through hell fora third season in a row," executive producer Shawn Levy previously stated. "He’ll be dealing with stuff, but he won’t be at rock bottom the way we forced the amazing Noah Schnapp to play.”
Variety now reports that actress Maya Hawke has been tapped as one of the new leads. The publication reports that she'll play an “alternative girl” who is bored with her mundane day job. Things get more exciting when she discovers a dark secret in Hawkins, Ind.
Lucas’ little sister Erica, played by Priah Ferguson, will also get a re-occurring role with her gang of friends by her side as they try and take down the threat to their little town.
