J. Cole's "Photographs" is quickly becoming a fan favourite off the new album "KOD."

It's been a pretty exciting past week for a rap fan, what with album announcements and real-ass release dates from Drake, Kanye West, Kanye West & Kid Cudi aka Kids See Ghost, Pusha T, Teyana Taylor (the latter two thanks to Ye) and just today, Wiz Khalifa. Lest we forget, Jorja Smith came through too!! One of those album announcements also belonged to J. Cole, however he left us with much less room to wait.

KOD arrived at midnight, and has since been followed by a dope music video for the stand-out cut "ATM." That's not the only stand-out though, with a tracklist of just twelve tracks, he barely missed a step too (meaning: whole album is stand-out material). Of course, the "1985" album outro is shaking things up in the e-streets, and we also gave the title track an extra look before asking you guys what song we should highlight next. It was definitely a toss-up between "Motiv8" and "Photographs" but we're going with the latter (we added all four of these songs to our Fire Emoji playlist though).

"Photograph" is a smooth joint, and yet another example of J. Cole's smooth, well-oiled flow. The twang of a guitar and shuttering hi-hats are backing Cole as he tells a familiar tale of social media pursuits -- the hook should be especially poignant with the millennial/internet-bred age.

Quotable Lyrics

Ni*ggas be talkin' so slick, yeah
I'm not the n*gga for lip, yeah
Puttin' my heart in a click, yeah
Can't see my heart, it don't fit, yeah
Don't think I'm built for this shit, yeah
Too busy thinking what if, yeah
I shoot my shot and it brick, yeah
