Listen to the outro to J. Cole's "KOD" album called "1985."

It's here folks. J. Cole’s KOD album has finally arrived. The 12-track project, which stands for “Kill Our Demons,” “Kids on Drugs,” and “King Overdosed,“ serves as the first project from Cole since 2016’s 4 Your Eyez Only album. It also follows his usual format of no features too, unless you count his alter-ego kiLL Edward who appears on the two records “The Cut Off” & “Friends.”

Looking to highlight one of the many dope new records, here goes the much-talked about outro “1985,” which we’ve been hearing about from fans at his listening session this week. Not only does the song title serve as the year J. Cole was born, but it also finds the North Carolina emcee subliminally dissing an anonymous rapper, which fans believe could be Lil Pump, after the Florida rapper said “fuck J Cole” last year.

In addition, the song also serves as an end to the story of KOD, and the beginning to his next speculated album; possibly called "The Fall Off."

Take a listen to the lyrical onslaught and let us know what you think. Record & album available now on iTunes.

Quotable Lyrics:

1985, I arrived
33 years, damn, I'm grateful I survived
We wasn't s'posed to get past 25
Jokes on you motherfucker, we alive
All these niggas popping now is young
Everybody say the music that they make is dumb
I remember I was 18
Money, pussy, parties, I was on the same thing
