Al Hordford is stoked for the possibilities that lie ahead for the Celtics.

The Boston Celtics are humming right along so far this NBA season, holding down the first place position in the Eastern Conference and looking like the top dogs in their division by a wide margin. However, if you ask center Al Horford, the team's best days aren't even upon them yet. In fact, once small forward Gordon Hayward is back in the fold, watch out.

As per MassLive, Horford was asked how he thinks Hayward will fit in with the team on the court after the Celts had wrapped up a game against the Spurs in San Antonio. "Honestly, I haven't really thought about it," said Horford. "For me mentally, in order for us to keep moving forward with the season and just focusing on what we have, I try to focus on our group." However, after a brief pause, Horford decided to elaborate on how he thinks the team would look. Spoiler: it will be a sight to behold.

"Now that you mention it," he added, "I think that we'll just be very explosive. I mean, we kind of have that now, but with him he just adds a whole other dimension. Because his ability to shoot 3s, shoot them really well, but also attack the basket, defend. One through five can shoot threes, can put it down, can post. We have a very versatile group. So I think it will be very scary once he's able to come back."

Even Spurs coach Gregg Popovich was already thinking about Hayward's return to the Green Machine's lineup. "It's actually too bad that Hayward's gone," he mused. "Because then you could really see what they can do."
