It looks like T.I. has his next acting role. According to a report from Deadline, the King Of The South will star in and co-produce the upcoming musical drama Glow Up.
The film will follow the lives and struggles of an all-girl high school performance group at an underfunded Los Angeles school, who use their talents to try and save their financially-strapped music program by competing in a national singing competition with a huge cash prize. But after the group’s leader can no longer participate in the competition, they struggle to see how their new leader can bring them to victory.
In addition to Tip, the movie will be produced by Robbie Brenner, producer of the Sundance award-winning film Burden, PepsiCo’s Creators League, Kevin McKeon, and T.I.’s producing partner, Brian Sher.
There's no word what T.I.’s role will exactly be in the film, but it’s being reported that he’s going to be curating the films’s soundtrack via his Grand Hustle Films shingle as well. So it's safe to say he’s having a lot of impact in the overall vibe of the film.
We’ll keep you posted on all latest with Tip moving forward, but in the meantime look for the ATL rapper to star in the upcoming Ant-Man and the Wasp film, hitting theaters July 6, 2018.
