The Oakland Raiders will reportedly introduce Jon Gruden as their next head coach at a press conference which has been scheduled for Tuesday. Gruden was the Raiders coach from 1998 until the 2001 season.

His last game as Raiders coach was on January 19, 2002 when the New England Patriots beat the Raiders 16-13 in a snowy game infamously known as the "Tuck Rule Game."

Gruden last coached in the 2008 season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and has served as a color commentator for the ESPN's Monday Night Football broadcasts since 2009. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Raiders are expected to offer him a 10-year contract, the longest coaching deal in NFL history, which will reportedly be worth more than $100 million.

In his 11 years of coaching, Gruden compiled a 95-81 record, including a Super Bowl championship with the Bucs during the 2012 season.

The Raiders have not announced who the other coaching candidates were but the NFL has said the team complied with the Rooney Rule in their coaching search. The policy requires league teams to interview minority candidates for head coaching and senior football operation jobs.

"We believe the Rooney Rule was complied with. Minority candidates were interviewed," NFL executive vice president of communications Joe Lockhart said during a conference call Friday. "We'll see what decision they make."

The Raiders fired coach Jack Del Rio after the season finale last week, following the team's 6-10 record. A year ago, the Raiders went 12-4.
