The tour kicks off in October.

Vic Mensa will join Jay-Z on his 4:44 tour this October. The Chicago rapper released his debut album The Autobiography through Jay-Z's Roc Nation label in July.

Vic recently spoke of how Jay offered him advice on his album. More specifically, the rap legend suggested that Mensa remove a diss that was on the album, which he took to heart. "There was a situation where I had a line that was kind of dissin' somebody else and it wasn't really necessary," he told Big Boy in July. "I just wanted it [on there] because it was a good bar... [but] I took it off. I didn't want to take it off, at all. I played it for [Jay-Z] and he didn't really say to take it off—we was all having a conversation about it, me, him and Dion and everybody in the room—and then, later on, he hit me after thinking about it, and he was like, 'You know, I think you should take [that line] off'."

Jay had high praise for Vic at his listening party. "Vic is a very special talent," he said. "He can do everything – sing well, rap well. He even engineers himself sometimes. He’s an incredible artist, like a once in a lifetime artist."
