Looks like the 2 Chainz & Eminem collaboration may be coming after all.

The saga of the 2 Chainz and Eminem collaboration continues to develop. After being seemingly cut from Revival's final tracklist, 2 Chainz took to Instagram to vent his frustration. Yesterday, the Pretty Girls Like Trap Music rapper posted a screenshot of the tracklist, along with a few noteworthy emojis - mainly the "shade" eyes and the disappointed/angry face. The word was that 2 Chainz was meant to appear on track three, the Phresher assisted "Chloraseptic," with a verse that apparently made Phresher "lose his mind." And while many wondered if that 2 Chainz verse was destined for the cutting room floor, it seems that the tides of fate have other plans.

Today, 2 Chainz threw up yet another post on his Instagram, having deleted the previous one from yesterday. In this one, he's posting up with a bearded Em, with a caption that reads "Grateful for the opportunity ,new music on the way!" Perhaps Em's camp reached out to calm the waters, and assured the Atlanta rapper that his version would soon see the light of day, perhaps on a deluxe version or official remix. Either way, it would have been nice to see 2 Chainz' presence on Revival, a tracklist that ultimately favored the pop-star guest appearance. It seems futile to beat a dead horse, but as someone who grew up listening to Em's music, it's hard to fathom that the man who once featured RBX, Sticky Fingaz, Xzibit, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre & Nate Dogg on his album is now welcoming the likes of Pink and Skylar Gray.

Either way, the album drops December 15th, and it's no doubt better to wait before passing judgment. Stay tuned for more news on the upcoming 2 Chainz / Eminem collaboration, which should ultimately be dropping in the near future. In the mean time, Tity Boi has promised "new music" coming soon, but whether he's referring to solo endeavors or the lost Em track remains to be seen.
