In his lone season with the Atlanta Hawks, after signing a three-year $70 million deal in the Summer of 2016, Dwight Howard averaged 13.5 points, 12.7 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game. The Hawks were bounced from the playoffs in the first round and then the team traded Howard and a second round pick to the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for Marco Belinelli, Miles Plumlee and a second round pick.
Needless to say, Dwight Howard's time in his hometown of Atlanta wasn't great. However, it was apparently still worthy of a tribute video.
On Wednesday night, Dwight returned to Atlanta as a member of the Hornets and was treated to a brief video by the Hawks which featured approximately three dunks.
Dwight finished with 20 points and 12 rebounds as the Hornets picked up a 123-110 win, but it was the unwarranted tribute video that everyone was talking about after the game.
During last night's taping of the NBA on TNT, the crew addressed the video. Check out how Shaq, Chuck, Kenny and Ernie responded.
