Hornets trade Howard to BK.

Dwight Howard is on the move once again, and this time he's heading to the Brooklyn Nets.

According to reports, the Charlotte Hornets have agreed to send the veteran center to BK in exchange for Timofey Mozgov, two future second-round picks and cash. One of those Nets picks is the 45th overall selection in Thursday's NBA Draft, while the other is said to be in 2021.

Howard has a $23.8 million expiring contract, but the move will save the Nets $17 million in 2019-20, which will allow them to create two max salary slots. On the flip side, Mozgov has two years and $32.7 million left on the four-year $64 million deal that Charlotte general manager Mitch Kupchak originally signed him to while they were both with the Los Angeles Lakers two years ago.

Last season with the Hornets Howard averaged 16.6 points, 12.5 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game, which are his best numbers since his All-Star season as a member of the Houston Rockets in 2013-14. The 32-year old big man will now change teams for the third time in three years following moves from Houston to Atlanta to Charlotte and now Brooklyn.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the deal can't be completed until the moratorium ends on July 6. The Nets will need money to expire off the salary cap to take on Howard's salary.
