It turns out that Kevin Hart may have been keeping some pretty big secrets after all.
The movie star and comedian is currently trying to fend off waves of criticism after he posted an impromptu video apology on social media this past weekend, admitting that he's got to do better for his wife and kids when it comes to making smart choices. The incident is apparently linked to an extortion plot that involves Hart and some short clips showing him cozying up to a woman who's not his wife Eniko Parrish. From the get-go, the whole situation reeked of Hart doing his best to head off the scandal before it blew up too badly, but now that the cat is out of the bag, there's no looking back for him. Now, TMZ has shared another video of Hart speaking with them on Friday, just a couple of days before the scandal broke. According to the actor, he had no intention of smudging his vows.
When asked what his favorite spots to frequent in Atlanta were, Hart had an interesting response. "Well, I am a married man and I love to go home," he said." When the cameraman pushed him to clarify if that meant he doesn't go near strip clubs at all, Hart replied by saying, "I don't even know what that is [...] life before I was married was no life at all." On the face of it, the comic seems to be saying all the right things, but somehow it doesn't ring totally true. The response to what was an innocent question immediately tried to distance him from any supposed guilt when it comes to frequenting one of the many strip clubs that the ATL has become known for, especially within hip-hop culture. There's also the joking tone with which he cops to being a married man and therefore not interested in making it rain in the slightest - what he says may be true, but there's a degree of play acting going on as well.
None of Hart's reps have not commented on the scandal as of yet, but his (very pregnant) wife supposedly showed some support for her husband by making sure photographers saw her wedding ring on her finger last night (September 17th).
