A look at the Super Bowl record books ahead of Super Bowl LII.

Will any player on the Philadelphia Eagles or New England Patriots score four touchdowns in Super Bowl LII? Will Tom Brady or Nick Foles throw for more than 466 yards? Can anyone on defense sack either of those QBs five times?

If any of those things were to take place at U.S. Bank Stadium on Sunday, February 4th, the Super Bowl record books would need to be rewritten.

In researching the best single-game performances in the Super Bowl's 51-year history, I decided to break it down into six separate categories. As far as offensive stats are concerned, we'll be looking at the all-time individual passing, receiving and rushing records. The best individual defensive performances, special teams records and scoring records account for the other three categories.

Without further adieu, scroll away to reveal the definitive list of Super Bowl records.
